Windows Introduction and Windows
Intermediate
In-classroom Instruction (8 hours)
This course is for students who have experience
using Windows operating systems as well as those
students who are brand new to Windows. Students
will review the basics behind operating in
Windows as well as extend their knowledge to
operate a personal computer efficiently.
Students will learn how to create new documents,
and open existing documents without opening the
associated application beforehand. You will also
learn how to customize the Start menu and
Desktop with shortcuts, and many more tools to
better organize your files and information.
Excel Introduction - Advanced (Includes
Labs, Certification Preparation, and Exam)
In-classroom Instruction (44 hours)
In this course students will learn the
principals and basics in creating an Excel
spreadsheet. As they progress through the course
they will practice utilizing Excel features such
as formulas, pivot tables, charts, graphs, and
templates to mange, organize, maintain, report,
and control data. Students will also learn
advanced Excel functions and Macros to automate
processes and simplify complex Excel tasks. A
combination of Instructor-led classes and
Instructor-led application labs are complemented
by a study and review session to help students
prepare for the Excel certification exam.
Word Introduction - Advanced (Includes
Labs, Certification Preparation, and Exam)
In-classroom Instruction (44 hours)
This course offers students the skills necessary
to become a specialist in Microsoft Word.
Students will learn first how to navigate Word
basics such as creating new documents, and
utilizing toolbars. Students will then sharpen
their skills by learning tasks such as bullets,
tables, using styles and formatting tools, mail
merge, and web friendly forms. Finally students
will learn how to use Word to simplify tedious
tasks such as table of contents, and comments. A
combination of Instructor-led classes and
Instructor-led application labs are complemented
by a study and review session to help students
prepare for the Word certification exam.
Access Introduction - Advanced (Includes
Lab, Certification Preparation, and Exam)
In-classroom Instruction (44 hours)
This course introduces students to principals of
databases. Students will learn to work with
database objects including tables, queries,
forms and reports. They will practice important
database management skills such as data
normalization, referential integrity, extracting
data, and records maintenance. A combination of
Instructor-led classes and Instructor-led
application labs are complemented by a study and
review session to help students prepare for the
Access certification exam.
PowerPoint Introduction - Advanced
(Includes Labs, Certification Preparation, and
Exam)
In-classroom Instruction (24 hours)
In this course students will learn to create
professional and dynamic presentations by
utilizing PowerPoint tools such as schemes,
slide layouts, charts, tables, and special
effects like slide transitions and animation.
Students will also learn how to utilize
hyper-links in their presentations and make a
presentation web-ready. A combination of
Instructor-led classes and Instructor-led
application labs are complemented by a study and
review session to help students prepare for the
PowerPoint certification exam.
Outlook Introduction - Advanced
(Includes Labs, Certification Preparation, and
Exam)
In-classroom Instruction (24 hours)
In this course students will learn the basics of
Outlook communication such as sending, replying
and forwarding messages, and setting email
options. After the basics you will learn how to
utilize more advanced Outlook features such as
the creating appointments, assigning tasks,
sharing your calendar, assigning permissions,
and automating process. A combination of
Instructor-led classes and Instructor-led
application labs are complemented by a study and
review session to help students prepare for the
Outlook certification exam. |
